Ensure statewide coordination of desktop computing, end-user access to mission-critical systems and responsiveness to customer service.
Support the personal computing devices ensuring a standardized, efficient and reliable operation of the agency's personal computing (PC) environment. The personal computer is a factor in every current and projected automation initiative. There are currently over 14,000 PCs, laptops and PDAs statewide.
Support office automation, e-mail and numerous application platforms as well as mission critical information systems in the Windows Operating System environment.
Mandatory Experience/Skills:
§ Proficient with Windows Operating Systems
§ Proficient with Windows User Profiles
- Proficient with installation and configuration of Windows-based software
- Proficient in troubleshooting techniques including:
o User Login problems
o Permissions problems
o Windows-based client/server access problems
- Network and local printer problems
- Proficient with installation and configuration of computer hardware and peripherals
- Proficient with LAN/WAN architecture
- Proficient with Novell eDirectory and Active Directory synchronization
- Proficient in end-user support
- Excellent documentation methods for any problems/solutions found as project progresses.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desirable Experience/Skills:
- Demonstrated experience with Health Related organizations
- Experience with large government organization
- Project Management skills
- Experience with HIPAA regulations
- Experience with an AD deployment
