Application Support Manager for Global Media Firm! in New York, NY

Our client is a Global Media firm and they are seeking an Application Support Manager who will be responsible for implementing procedures to test, support and maintain the group's Global Applications. The focus of the position will be to provide training and support to the Regional Application teams, actively participate in user acceptance testing, create and maintain a knowledge base for end users and work within the product team to communicate requirements and new release details.



Responsibilities:
- Become an expert end user and develop comprehensive knowledge of the functionality for the appropriate Global Application.
- Providing training to the Regional Application teams and be the primary point of contact; providing daily support, troubleshooting, configuration, installation and Super User training on the appropriate Global Application.
- Create training curriculum (syllabus, handouts, FAQs, guides etc.) and regularly update training materials and support documents based on UAT results and user feedback for the appropriate Global Application.
- Communicate new release information and create implementation documents.
- Create and maintain a knowledge base for end-user support on the appropriate Global Application and help facilitate end-user satisfaction.
- Verify, manage and track the status of issues reported by Regional Application teams on the appropriate Global Application.
- Actively participate in the evaluation and testing of new releases and assists with implementing the UAT process with the Product Team and Regional Application teams.
- Develop thorough understanding of user demands, usability and functional issues and relay requirement to the Project Manager.
- Pro-actively identify ways in which application use may be improved



Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an application support or client service role
- Experience in the media or advertising industries, or knowledge of media planning and administration systems is desirable.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Further language skills will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to rapidly learn new IT systems and tools
- Ability to work on own initiative and as a team player
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- A thorough understanding of the Microsoft Office desktop productivity suite.
- A conceptual understanding of operating systems, networks, development tools and other related technologies.
