Position Site Specialist / Trainer / Help Desk for POS
Location NY Burrows
90 day contract to hire
Starts ASAP!!
4 positions available!!!!
Full time pay 50-60,000 a year with benefits

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To support and train during POS system go-live days; evaluate POS operator and site manager skills and assess requirement for additional training; assess skills of and manage Trainers as assigned; support and troubleshoot POS systems hardware and software. Provide group training in a computer lab on the same topics covered in the onsite go live training and support.
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Project Director, provides customer assistance for software and hardware related issues. Work involves covering a support shift to respond to and record incoming customer service phone calls, emails and customer generated service requests. Escalate non - resolvable calls to Assistant Project Director.
To support and train site POS Operators during go-live days and provide evaluation of operator skills and assess the requirement for additional training and/or support after day-1 of go-live.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES " Must be proficient in Windows 2000/XP Professional
" Basic understanding of TCP/IP network technology and how PC's are configured to work on Networks
" Basic data management skills in Access, Excel, SQL Server 2000, query writing, importing and exporting
" Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
" Ability to work patiently with end-users
" Develop proficiency in the use of WebSMARTT/WinSNAP Point of Service software and hardware and NSMP software
" Develop a working knowledge of all NYCDOE specific policies and procedures.
" Use remote control software - Desktop Streaming to troubleshoot customer's issues
" MS Word, basics skill level in Access and Excel
" Must have good problem solving skills and analytical skills
" Excellent phone etiquette required including good listening skills

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS " Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to personally rent a vehicle
" Professional attire is required
This position may require travel up to 25% of the year both in the air and ground travel (This position may require traveling to acquire additional training. Traveling one week per quarter is expected to assist in a WinSNAP installation and training of a new district.)
EDUCATION
Four-year degree (BA/BS) preferred or any combination of
experience, education and/or training that would provide the
required skills, knowledge and abilities.
EXPERIENCE 3-5 years experience in installing and training a POS system, preferably in the K-12 school foodservice market, but a related market is acceptable.
Experience on customer support help desk preferred but not mandatory.
