We are currently seeking a Clinical Project Manager who will work with clinical managers, nursing directors and physicians to implement multi disciplinary clinical software. This person will be the lead professional and serve as the liaison between Information Systems, the health system, the vendor, and hospital sponsors.
The Project Manager will manage the entire project life cycle for Clinical Information System implementation initiatives for an integrated health system and will be responsible for planning and managing multiple medium to large projects using resources from IS, clinical, and vendor teams. There is significant direct interface with clients at all levels within the health system.
Primary Responsibilities:
? Lead the planning and coordination of clinical information system projects including gathering requirements and planning for systems selection, system design, testing, implementation, systems integration training, and system maintenance.
? Demonstrate strong leadership skills with significant direct interface with clients at all levels within the organization having essential responsibilities to manage the customer relationship and resolve customer issues.
? Develop and maintain project plans and all associated written documentation tied to the projects.
? Manage and control project and project delivery teams to assure that project deadlines are met, escalate issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and adhere to PMO methodologies. Track actual performance against planned performance, analyze variances, and problem solve to ensure all customer needs are met while maintaining control of the project.
? Provide continuous risk management enabling proactive decisions and actions to mitigate project scope, schedule, and budget overages.
? Facilitate communication and up to date work progress across key stakeholders that interface with clinical systems to assure timely attainment of project milestones.
Education, Experience, & Skills (Minimum Requirement):
? Bachelor's Degree in a clinical-related profession is required.
? Prefer a minimum of three years clinical experience at a health care institution with the ability to apply supporting technology to the clinical and physician service areas.
? Project implementation experience required, having a strong understanding of clinical systems and work flow.
? Ability to interact and work with physicians, nurses and all levels of management and staff.
? Ability to organize/facilitate multi-disciplinary teams to recommend solutions or to resolve service issues - Strong vendor management skills
? Strong analytical, process flow, interviewing and problem solving skills
? Experience developing and implementing complex project plans and budgets
? Understands technology concepts (application and infrastructure architecture).
? Versatility and flexibility, superior communication and customer relationship skills, organization, negotiation, and project management skills are essential (PMP Certification preferred). Must have the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
? Exceptional communication, executive presence, presentation and leadership skills required.
? Prefer experience with any of the following hospital information systems: Lab, PACS, and IDX systems
? Prefer experience in the following hospital departments: Cardiology, Radiology, Pharmacy
? RN or BS degree
