In the role of System Developer, this team member will be responsible for developing/enhancing this financial institution's MBS/CMO Risk Analytics system with an emphasis on decommissioning tactically deployed solutions with more robust, resilient, scalable strategic solutions.
Position Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
. Mastery of vendor APIs & systems (Polypaths & Intex)
. Dissection of Trader spreadsheets and models
. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
. Interface with business users and subject matter experts to define requirements and refine the details necessary for modifications to software
. Design & implement new enhancements in a demanding, fast-paced environment
. Communicate status and report issues to the project leader
Experience: . Must have MBS - Mortgage Backed Securities experience . Proficiency in the following: JAVA, C/C++, Excel/VBA, MS Sql Server & .NET., XML, Web Services a plus. . Experience in full project life-cycle development . Proactive team player with a "can-do" attitude . Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills . Candidates must be excellent analytical problem solvers . Attention to detail, thoroughness a must . Some knowledge of Fixed Income Trading, Pricing, and Risk Management are a plus .
