Primary responsibilities of the Senior Process Specialist position:
The ideal candidate will have broad experience in business process redesign, operational best practices, and quality management specific to delivery of Information Technology services.
Will be a member of a new quality improvement group within an IT Solutions / Outsourcing group that provides technology services for a very large and complex healthcare system located in Long Island
Will review current state internal processes and seek opportunities for improved service and operational efficiency
Develop project plan to implement corporate best practices and achieve IS9000 certification working closely with account team leadership
Evaluation of opportunities for cost reduction and increased profit margin
Investigate alternatives for technology service delivery and assist in developing proposals to client management
Seek ways to improve the value proposition to the client that will improve client satisfaction and focus on higher value activities
Evaluate operational and documentation practices as they conform to established programs and procedures as they relate to ISO certification.
Recommend process improvements or corrections to operations and identify differences between established standards, suggesting modifications to conform to standards
Other duties may be assigned.
Specific experience / skills required:
Has experience in reviewing current state business processes, identifying gaps or bottlenecks, and streamlining them to achieve operational efficiencies
Has implemented best practices in technology management and developed process documentation
Leadership, team building, and facilitation skills to lead a team to consensus
Exposure to IS9000 certification process and ITIL and/or eSCM, TQM, Six Sigma methodologies
Proven leadership capabilities and experience providing management oversight and guidance
Can juggle many tasks/projects, respond quickly to new requests, and demonstrate flexibility when priorities change
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding client environment
Full project life cycle experience, (requirements, specifications, design, configuration, testing, post-activation assessment, etc).
Skills in project management, issue resolution, consensus building, status reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills essential
