DESCRIPTION
Work with a team to analyze, design, develop, configure and integrate applications to support an Electric Operation's information system. This assignment requires the candidate to have a strong technical background along with the ability to perform business analysis and write effective documentation and specifications. The candidate will be expected to perform business analysis, technical analysis, project planning, systems design, application software programming, and development of user / project management documentation.
The successful applicant will be expected negotiate modifications of existing applications and development of new applications with users. The work split will be approximately 33% identifying requirements and data sources in other systems, 33% modification to existing applications to meet these requirements and 33% developing new applications.
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ARE MANDATORY FOR CONSIDERATION:
The assignment will require the candidate to have hands-on skills over a wide range of technologies including:
. Working knowledge of HPUX Systems
. Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL development
. Complex Ksh and Perl scripting.
. Working experience with IMS - TSO - COBOL - Lite PL/1
. Lite Web development
. Working knowledge of X-Windows and Exceed
. Microsoft Project - able to use and understand
. Ability to resolve vague and conflicting requirements into workable solution.
. Excellent oral and written communication skills
. Excellent analytical skills and experience in application design.
. Project management skills
. Working knowledge of Electric Distribution a major plus.
