GLOBAL EQUITY PROGRAM MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION -
DESCRIPTION
The Global Equities Technology Program Management Office is responsible for directing, administering and coordinating the activities of the Global Equities program portfolio in accordance with the policies, goals, and objectives established by the line of business and technology management. This responsibility encompasses supporting business planning and development, and portfolio management, while providing overall program and project oversight.
This organization is expected to realize the following value propositions: Provide information to facilitate management's ability to align initiatives to business goals; Build an enterprise view of the technology portfolio to provide LOB and technology management with the ability to identify and prioritize projects; Create auditable and repeatable bank-compliant project management processes to reduce risk and increase project execution standards; and implement systems development lifecycle based, governance and oversight.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE - JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITES
. Work with technology project teams to manage a coordinated approach to the development of major proposals, presentations and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions
. Facilitate and monitor execution of program and project plans
. Provide project oversight including: reviewing project status, taking corrective action, and ensuring compliance with established processes
. Conduct and facilitate periodic meetings / reviews with LOB and technology teams focusing on business goals, project delivery, metrics adherence, and operational risk
. Ensure that effective project management procedures and financial controls are established and maintained for the program's operations, including bank mandated standards such as Six Sigma
. Manage program governance to ensure global coordination of communication, planning and reporting
Experience: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
. At least 3-5 years experience in the financial services industry
. Candidates should have an understanding of Equity securities and markets (program and algorithmic trading, equity capital markets, equity shares trading)
. Strong background and experience in project and program management
. Experience with planning large complex technology project
. Broad exposure to software project lifecycle and software development methodologies
. Strong verbal and writing skills
. Experience providing executive level reporting
. Strong Microsoft Office skills
