As a member of the Equities Derivatives Technology support organization, the person in this position will become the subject matter expert in supporting our order management and related systems. First priority will be to transfer the knowledge/support from the develop team to the support team. To do this role well, the candidate will need excellent people skills, technical skills and strong knowledge of OMS. Additional duties will include: Serving as the SME in functions that relate to OMS. This can include release deployments, documentation, training other members of the support team and being the coordinator during system outages. Monitoring, supporting and troubleshooting production jobs and business applications; Coordinating with the infrastructure team (SA's, DBA's, Market Data etc) on a daily basis Working on ad-hoc requests from Middle Office and Trading Floor; STRONG PERL IS A MUST - STRONG OMS BACKGROUND IS A MUST -- Any Programming/Database Development experience is a highly desired; Sybase/SQL is a MUST; Oracle is a plus UNIX is a MUST, Linux is a plus; Wintel, .Net, Java/J2EE are a plus Perl, Korn Shell or any other scripting languages is a MUST; AutoSys or any other job scheduling tool is highly desirable; Any Programming/Database Development experience is a highly desired; Any Application Monitoring tools/software is a plus; Experience working in Capital Markets required. Financial areas preferred: Equity ( OTC, Listed, Derivatives, Program), Trading Desk Support, Order Management Support, Portfolio/Risk Management, Market Data, Equity or Fixed Income Finance. Strong communication and customer services skills.
