Description
Responsible for performance test planning, development of test scripts, and test execution. This requires coordination with other support teams, including Distributed Computing, Database, Development, Network and QA Functional analysts to provide comprehensive test results.
These results are vital for quality delivery of applications.
Creating and auditing test cases and scripts for reasonable system and application coverage.
Coordinate implementation of infrastructure requirements for QA testing activities.
Work with other IT groups in maintaining test environments and test components for reusability.
Maintain test plan documentation and summary status reports on system tests.
Ability to accurately determine root cause and class of system error for proper resolution.
Communicate failures and questionable results with suggested areas of failure.
Participate in readiness assessment with recommendations and concerns based on test result findings. Demonstrate continuous improvement in QA processes.
Requirements
Strong interpersonal skills, written & oral communications skills a must. Knowledge of industry-accepted QA performance testing methodologies.
Knowledge of Silk Performer tool. Familiarity with SQL, Unix, and Windows editing tools a plus.
Must be able to work independently, and coordinate activities technical resources from various IT teams.
2 to 5 years Segue Silk Test scripting a must.
Experience with Project Management tools, test case management tools and defect tracking tools a plus.
The ability to present performance testing concepts, methodologies, and benefits to potential new clients.
