Summary
As a Business Objects SME, you will be responsible to translate the business needs into usable software. Advising on the architecture and deployment practices, should help manage client expectations and help determine how systems can interact with BO XI. This role is that of a Subject Matter Expert(SME), not a developer.You play an important role with the Equity Intelligence (EI) team working closely with the data architect and ETL team lead. This department is responsible for front office Equities Trading Division applications and the team specifically is responsible for developing a new architecture for reporting equity sales credit information.

Reports to: Manager - Business Objects Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Duties/Responsibilities
- Business Intelligence Specialist to play role of a key Business Objects Specialist on the Equity Intelligence (EI) team
- You will be working closely with the data architect and ETL team lead.
- Design the global deployment strategy of Business Objects XI using both Web Intelligence (for OLAP analysis) and Crystal Reports (for canned reports).
- Mentor team members on the Business Objects best architecture and deployment practices
- You should be able to help determine how systems can interact with BO XI.
- Develop Web Intelligence reports within the Equities IT department.
Compensation and Employment Terms
- Fulltime permanent (salaried): $130K/Year
- W-2: $80 per hour

Experience: You must possess the following qualities
- Strong leadership skills.
- Flexible to accommodate teleconferences that may be scheduled outside of normal business hours.
Required Background/Experience
- 5+ years of Investment Banking experience
- In-depth knowledge of all Business Object XI components, in particular WEBi report design and Web-based SDK.
- Lead Joint Application Development sessions to define a WEBi based reporting solution.
- You should be a senior Business Object's SME able to work as the interface between the developers and business users.
- Instructor level expertise in developing complex WEBi documents, including interactivity, report-linking, drill-down, and drill-through functionality.
- Comprehend the full capability of the Business Objects product suite and the best practices for applying these capabilities to satisfy business requirements.
- Understand the Business Objects security model and its effects on the User interface design.
Major Pluses to have
- Working knowledge of Crystal Xcellsius would be a plus.
- Working knowledge of Business Object XI components Release 2 would be a plus.
- Prior Development experience would be helpful.
