Position Description:
The person in this role is responsible for leading the design and implementation of the web application architecture across DoubleClick's ad serving products.
Responsibilities:
* Own the web application architecture across all products
* Provide guidance and direction to development staff on architectural standards and best practices
* Promote agile practices, such as, test driven development, continuous builds and integration, QA automation, etc.
* Work closely with senior engineering management and product management
* Collaborate with other architects to ensure the goals and integrity of the DART platform
* Perform technology/tools evaluation and software technical proof of concepts
Required experience:
* Bachelors Degree in relevant field
* 8+ years in software development, including 4+ years of web-based application development
* .NET and JEE systems
* Authentication and authorization solutions for web-based systems
* Data architecture (Oracle preferred)
* Requirements gathering and domain analysis
* Distributed processing and high availability
* Full SDLC knowledge
* Using design patterns in refactoring complex systems
* Scalability and performance tuning
Tools and technologies:
* JSP, Servlets, JMS, JDBC, SOA, Web Services, SOAP, XML/XSLT
* ASP.NET
* HTML, DHTML, client-side scripting, CSS, Javascript and AJAX
* Struts, JSF or Tapestry
* Spring and Hibernate
