Title:Business Analyst
Responsible for the analysis, design, and delivery of functional requirements to software development teams for projects.
Collaborate with globally distributed users and development teams to provide analysis for required system changes as well as make recommendations for system enhancements. Conduct design reviews with system interface teams to reach consensus and assure quality. Participate in quality assurance and testing processes to ensure applications correctly support business processes and preserve data quality.
Primary responsibilities:
· Deep requirements elicitation, business process skills, and complex functional support
· Facilitate creation of Vision documents, Use Cases, Activity diagrams and other RUP artifacts
· Effective collaboration with sponsors, and users in creating a robust set of specifications as a basis to estimate and build systems
· Participate and contribute to BA-related study teams to define best practices and build community knowledge as required
· Participate in application deployments
· Participate in application training
· Respond to requests for application support
· Some travel may be necessary

BACKGROUND AND TRAINING:
Required Background/Training
· Bachelors degree minimum
· 3+ years of relevant experience
· Business analysis and functional requirements preparation
· SQL skills (Oracle experience preferred)
· Experience writing adhoc reports (e.g., MS Access or other SQL query tool)
· Quality assurance, quality control experience
· Understanding of relational database concepts
· Microsoft Office
· Heavy interaction with users and programmers
Preferred Background/Training
· Oracle Financials experience a plus
· Accounting/finance knowledge a plus
· RUP Methodology
· Strong database skills, preferably Oracle 8.x or higher
· Familiarity or experience with the following technologies:
Crystal Reports, Cognos, Lotus Notes, VB, Java
· UI design expertise
· Data warehousing concepts
· Facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) and Business Process Redesign (BPR) sessions
