As a J2EE/Web 2.0 Architect and Tech Lead, you will be leading a team of software developers as they use agile software development practices and the latest Web 2.0 and AJAX technologies. You will be responsible for providing technical architecture and vision as well as leading a team. You must be a highly-seasoned professional who is creative yet possesses disciplined thought while strongly embracing agile software development practices within a test-driven environment.

Reports to: Manager of Software Development

Duties/Responsibilities

Architect and develop scalable applications in a dynamic environment using Java, Struts 2 Framework, and the DOJO JavaScript library
Lead a team of 4+ developers throughout the whole development cycle using an agile software development approach
Act as a role model and advocate for best practices around test-driven development, agile software development, and customer-centric software

Experience: Required Background/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS, or related field
5+ years experience developing web-based J2EE enterprise software
3+ years experience in a role of a J2EE architect and technical project lead
Proficient with object-relational modeling and frameworks such as IBATIS and Hibernate
Experience using AJAX to develop interactive web applications
Strong knowledge of test-driven development using JUnit and other Agile development practices
Experience with Apache, Tomcat, or other J2EE servers on the LINUX platform

Major Pluses to have

Experience with the Torque framework, portal development, and PERL
