Our client is a global entertainment and media company and they are seeking a Data Analyst to join their growing team in Manhattan.
Purpose of Position
This position is responsible for the ongoing administration and analysis of the client's corporate data model and digital content. This includes business specific data and asset systems. It requires the ability to enforce procedures around the capture and delivery of metadata as well as the ability to analyze and integrate data from disparate sources. It requires proficiency with analytical tools (Discoverer, Dashboard, Excel), proficiency with business process management methodology and tools (BPMN, SOA), strong communication skills, and previous experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and enforce methodologies and procedures for capturing and presenting data and digital content:
- Establish and control procedures to secure and distribute content - Manage offsite data coordinators to ensure data integrity
- Work with users to document and optimize business processes, ensuring the consistent flow of data through the enterprise
- Assist the Archivist in the analysis and implementation of the data model
Develop methodologies and programs for analyzing and presenting data:
- Assist in the implementation of the business intelligence platform to expose business processes to management
- Refine benchmarking data analysis and key performance indicators to drive strategy
- Establish Balanced Scorecard reporting for key business areas
Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing customer requests:
- Assist business users in understanding the data model to promote accurate reporting
- Implement reporting tools as required
- Support business users with complex data requests as required
Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following experience or qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- Solid experience with data management and business process analysis
Experience implementing successful business processes around digital content
- Strong interpersonal skills and previous management experience
The following experience is a plus:
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise applications
- Understanding of Business Process Modeling Notation and Services Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Implementation of executive management reporting tools including benchmark and balanced scorecard
