The Role:

The role is SAP BASIS Administrator with at least 5+ years of experience.
The BASIS Administrator is responsible for configuring, tuning, securing, and monitoring the SAP ECC, BI, PI, EP, NWDI, SLD and SM and other retail modules.
To succeed at this function, the individual must be detail oriented, well organized, articulate, and technically diverse and business/risk aware.

Overview:

Administration of SAP ECC, BI, PI, EP, NWDI, SLD and SM systems/instances.
Responsible for the technical functions associated with creating and maintaining SAP instances:
1- performance, monitoring and tuning analysis.
2- capacity planning;
3- workload modeling and prediction;
4- systems support;
5- application support and optimization;
6- SAP OSS notes, software upgrades and executing transport requests.

Qualifications

- Over five years SAP R/3, EP, BW, HCM, Solman, and other retail modules.

Required SAP Skills:

1- Prior experience installing and configuring SAP ECC, BI, PI, EP, NWDI, SLD and SM and other retail modules.
2- Solution Manager usage, install, and administration.
3- Command of the SAP Kernel and BASIS, including CCMS and TMS.
4- Knowledge and practice of using efficient client development and configuration transport strategies.
5- Ability to create Transport Domain Controllers and administer the Transport Management System.
6- Configure Start, Default and Instance Profiles.
7- Create and configure Central and Dialogue Instances.
8- Backup and restore using BRtools/RMAN/Legato.
9- Able to configure Operation Modes for Job Scheduling and Workload Balancing.
10- Resize, monitor, and update statistics of an SAP R/3 system in an Oracle database environment using the DBA Planning Calendar, BRtools, and other SAP delivered tools.
11- Proficient in utilizing and searching the SAP Service Marketplace (OSS) to retrieve and apply Support Packages and SAP Notes.
12- Knowledge of SAP security authorization objects, authorizations, profiles, and roles.
13- Provide BAPI, EDI, ALE and External Interface support

Systems and Technical Skills:

- UNIX (HP-UX and Linux)
- Oracle 10g and above
- HA knowledge
- SAN knowledge
- LDAP, TCP/IP troubleshooting
- Shell scripting
- Writing ABAP code

Interpersonal Skills:

- Communicate effectively across the organization using appropriate communication methods.
- Plan and manage individual time, establish personal timelines and commit to deadlines.
- Document work thoroughly for reproducibility of results and for team members.
- Adapt to proprietary technologies, workflow procedures and task/status reporting.

Education:

At least a Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
