UI Web Designer White Plains, NY Summary Description IAC Consumer Applications & Portals is seeking a talented and self-motivated Web Designer to join its Creative team. You will have the opportunity to put your varied design skills to work - including the ability to create intuitive, web 2.0 user interfaces, web pages and sales collateral. Your design efforts will be focused specifically on our virtual world/social network hit product, Zwinky. The IAC CAP Creative team is responsible for building animated character-driven products, UI designs & flow for our toolbar products and portals, as well as all online marketing/advertising materials. We do it all, we do it well, and we do it in a friendly, supportive, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Work with Product Managers, Producers and Developers on implementing static and interactive designs, as well as static, HTML and Flash based prototyping Work to optimize assets that address business, brand, market and user requirements Work on multiple projects with tight timelines Be an active participant in product development brainstorming sessions Technical Skill Level Ability to create static, HTML and Flash design prototypes Knowledge of developing trends as they relate to online applications - both from the design and technology side Ability to keep up with latest design and editing software enhancements, and incorporate into your day-to-day workflow Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to optimize creative assets for online use Strong conceptual skills Strong illustration skills a plus Ability to troubleshoot Strong typography skills Strong knowledge of color Professional Skill Level Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment Able to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision Attributes / Behaviors Passion Accountability Adaptability Ability to take direction Attention to detail Commitment to team Problem solver Positive attitude, sense of humor, easy going Required Experience 3+ years experience designing in an online environment, experience in multimedia and a visual portfolio including URL's Formal training in design with proficiencies in: UI design (Flash, HTML, CSS) Adobe CS3 Suite (Flash and Photoshop are key) Illustration skills (huge plus) Animation skills (a plus) Actionscripting PC Environment Internet applicants must provide an online portfolio that showcases past UI / Web Design work.
