Ajilon Consulting is seeking a Red Hat Linux and VMware platform Support Engineer to serve in a role as Software Certification Tester to support our client in delivering technology to their end-user base.
You will be responsible for pulling in technology tools and products that the client doesn't own and testing them together. The tools and products will be tested on the AIX, Solaris and VMWare ESX environments.
Experience: . Minimum of 3 to 4 years experience with Red Hat Linux and VMware as a senior support or engineer role
. A broad spectrum of experience of small and mid-size HP, IBM Intel Server Hardware platforms
. Extensive knowledge of the Red Hat Advanced Server Operating System
. Experience with Volume Manager and Linux Clustering Technologies and VMware Suite
. Experience and working knowledge on Storage Area networks using EMC / Hitachi storage frames.
. Project management skills are a necessity
. Must be a strong team player operating in a core team environment.
. Knowledge of YUM, rpm and packaging on the Linux platform.
. Experience testing technology tools and products
. Experience with methodologies for Operating System tools certification testing
. Experience with testing RedHat versions 4 and 5
. Experience with the VMWare ESX platform
