The Functional Lead reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for the definition and documentation of the special education functions. The Functional Lead in conjunction with the Business Analyst will define and document the process and then review the configuration of the system for functional acceptability. This role is responsible for the following tasks:
- Lead and participate in business process review sessions
- Review, analyze and provide input regarding all work products emerging from business review sessions
- Communicate relevant outcomes of business process reviews to functional team
- Manage staff who are responsible for business analysis, system configuration and quality assurance
- Supervise form and report configuration activities
- Facilitate functional meetings
- Perform overall business process management for implementation
- Monitor expense and profit specific to this project
- Contribute to the profitability of customer contracts
Relevant Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors degree (masters degree preferred) from an accredited college or university in Special Education, Education, Curriculum and Instructional Management and two or more years of education experience
- Ability to research and understand changes in the process and articulate these changes resulting in configuration alterations
- Ability to manage both staff and process as it pertains to the business processes of the client
- Ability to facilitate meetings regarding business process review and bring discussions to clear conclusion
- Ability to document complex business processes into use cases that translate from paper processes to electronic configuration of a web-based computer system
- Ability to train clients and staff on system and topical related issues
- Ability to use computer applications to demonstrate products and provide training
- Ability to speak effectively in both group and individual situations
