Our client, a conglomerate based in the White Plains area is looking to add a Senior Java Developer to their existing team. We are looking for a sharp Java developer who is a quick thinker who does not need to be hand-held. You will need to be able to see the big picture and be proactive about seeking out the information you need in order to ensure the success of the project.
Qualified candidates will be experienced in SDLC, Agile, have hands-on knowledge of Core Java technologies, ORM mapping tools, WebSphere 6.1 and SOAP. Strong server side analytical skills dealing with performance analysis, ability to quantify results and have ability to multi-task and have reliable/quick turnaround on development initiatives. Experience: . Message protocols/apis ( SOAP, HTTP, JMS, RMI, TCP/IP )
. Design concepts ( UML/ Java patterns / Enterprise System patterns / inheritance - composition / Caching strategies )
. Core Java knowledge ( 1.4, 1.5 ) ( collection api's / threading / io/nio )
. Application Server knowledge ( WebSphere 6.1 )
. Databases ( DB2, Oracle, SQL, PLSQL )
. Tools ( JProbe, JUnit, JMeter, Quantify, Purify, Introscope, heap/core analyzer, Eclipse/IBM Irad, Toad , SoapUI)
