This Group creates and builds a comprehensive range of formative and summative assessments, reporting tools, individual study guides, instructional programs, software, and services, all built upon a tradition of research, innovation, and technical quality that benefit learners of all ages.We are looking for a highly organized, self-directed, interactive individual who has mastered the complexities of managing high stake contracts, productive cross functional teams that meet deliverables on time and on budget while maintaining and developing client relationships. If this is the challenge you have been waiting for, we have an outstanding opportunity for a PROGRAM MANAGER II , working with our team at the New York City site location.You will manage one or more complex custom and base programs that varies in size from $2.5 million to $50-100 million. MUST have profit and loss responsibility for assigned program(s), managing a large staff of cross functional professionals. You will be responsible for planning/controlling all program events to meet required timelines, monitoring/controlling program costs to complete programs within budget, and ensuring deliverable quality. You are responsible for growing business through the generation of winning/workable solutions and proposals, delivery of high performance solutions and services, expansion of existing accounts, and effective management of relationships. You will participate in process improvement initiatives, including policy and procedure creation, strategic and operational planning, and other related activities.RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Managementachieve cost, revenue, gross profit targets for assigned program ($2.5-50 million) identify/control critical cost elements bearing the greatest impact on budget by conducting an estimate-at-completion analysis Performance Managementplan, manage, deliver assigned program(s) incorporate use of identified program management tools to achieve contract compliance, customer satisfaction, on time delivery within budget Contract Managementcontribute/participate in RFP process, proposing solutions, providing estimated program costs, identifying innovative solutions for individual customer needs manage/negotiate change management process and contract scope provide a transition plan for approved RFP to shift program to a team or vendor Conflict Resolutionidentify conflict, working with team for solutions and immediate resolutions Relationship Managementmanage communication with internal cross functional members on program team manage day-to-day routine/non routine communication with external customers advise customer on technical assessment matters related to goals/objectives of customers assessment program Talent Mangementmanage all personnel assigned to program (up to 15 team members) determine program staffing needs ensuring needed resources are assigned establish effective management and relationships within program team and senior management address/resolve interpersonal or team dynamic concerns Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience 6+ years working in a program management environment with demonstrated experience in planning, program/financial oversight, customer relations - management/negotiations 4+ years supporting multiple, non-standard contracts or programs MUST have strength in leading cross functional teams - period! MUST have experience in risk management and conflict resolution - period!
