We have an immediate need for a Interactive Photo Editor
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of this person is to catalogue, maintain and manage all requests from our growing photo library, including all rights and clearances, working closely with the Creative Services department to manage constant influx of photos for our new website. Additionally, the photo editor will be responsible for fulfilling photo requests from all business units and maintaining the photo docket.
General Responsibilities:
- Edit, tag, archive, organize photos into the asset management system
- Research, select, crop and fulfill selections from photo library for distribution
- Update and maintain photo asset management system
- Route photos from a variety of sources and upload them into a CMS
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer skills in Mac graphic programs
- 1-2 years of experience (in advertising, media, publishing or related field) combined with an interest in photography
- Knowledge of legal issues related to photo usage, including copyright and trademark and publicity rights as well as industry best practices in this area.
- Superb organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) and ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- BA degree
- Passion for New York City and a commitment to contributing to the Citys continued success
