Description Our client, major bank which monitors the monetary policy, financial supervision and the payments system, is seeking a Business Analyst. Location: New York, NY Type of Position: Contract Job Description Assist business area in defining business requirements. Describe the project vision, scope, and objectives Work with stakeholders to help them understand their requirements within the scope of a project. Elicit requirements, brainstorm business process enhancements, analyze existing business documentation, observe existing business operations, and facilitate focus groups Document the functional and non functional requirements in a testable and unambiguous form Develop business design documents, models, and diagrams for verification by stakeholders including business users, developers, and testers. The business design includes functional designs to describe how users will interface with a system and non-functional requirements such as response time, contingency, and throughput requirements Provides direction and mentoring to project analysts in performing activities for business analysis and design Gather feedback and perform iterative business design sessions Analyze requirements to identify additional requirements that can be derived from what the users specified. Identify and resolve inconsistencies in requirements and business designs Communicate requirements, resolve conflicts, facilitate requirements prioritization, and gain formal approval Perform the following activities or guide others in performing them Maintain traceability between business design and requirements Perform analysis on change requests to help determine their impact on the project Identify, track, and resolve defects in requirements and business designs Review system test plans and test cases to verify that they thoroughly and accurately test the system Attends periodic meetings, capturing meeting minutes and follow up actions Identifies process improvement needs and recommends solutions. May assist in developing GUI standards or business analysis processes.
