Due to our consistent growth and prosperity, we are looking to fill a key SR Project Analyst role within the Technology Division of M&T Bank. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for running projects end-to-end Responsible for running large projects with off-shore components Responsible for project strategy, project planning, project implementation execution and control, this may include the implementation of technical aspects of business projects or technology driven projects Facilitates activities for enterprise projects and oversees the work of other Project Managers Ensures adherence to all current project methodology standards and procedures, including all documentation requirements Reviews business requirements and may assist in translating requirements into functional specifications and systems designs. May provide analytical support to other team members and client groups in defining requirements Reports on project cost variances Completes status reports and presents deliverables for project milestones to senior management, the Project Sponsor and the Project Change Control Board Recognizes technical, business and operational impacts of a project. Brings issues to resolution and escalates issues or concerns to the Project Sponsor Schedules and facilitates project meetings, publishes meeting minutes, tracks impact and issue documents Initiates or participates in the request for proposal process, including vendor management Responsible for Risk Management and Impact Analysis Responsible for Change Control Management and Impact Analysis The Senior Project Manager interacts with senior managers across the organization, technology personnel, various business units and vendors The Senior Project Manager may be called upon to serve as a technology representative on committees, ad-hoc projects, etc.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of four years college with at least ten years experience in project related work, systems analysis and a systems development environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience on large scope projects and with a complete understanding of a project life cycle methodology Ability to proficiently use project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications Excellent problem solving skills to assist in detecting potential issues and issue resolution Familiar with application software and hardware platforms Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience Demonstrates diplomatic negotiating skills and excellent interpersonal skills Must be able to work effectively with clients, IT management and staff personnel Requires strong judgment and excellent project management skills Detail oriented and self motivated Excellent analytical, organization and time management skills Asserts ideas, encourages teamwork and acts as a role model when leading and directing others Understands the project purpose and employs the use of a work breakdown structure, critical paths and Gantt charts, as well as other tracking reportsIDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree preferred Aware of the Bank’s business plan and strategic objectives Understanding of Bank culture Good understanding of Bank’s enterprise architecture PMP Certified preferredThe Senior PM must understand the role of business units and how they fit into the organization The Senior Project Manager needs to know how to work within the organization and understand the agendas and perspectives of others An understanding of multiple business areas functions is preferred
