Description Our client, a major global financial services provider engaged in retail and commercial banking, is seeking a Senior C# GUI Developer. Location: New York , NY Fulltime Position Securitized Products IT is based in New York , NY . We generate risk analytics for structured products (ABS, MBS, CMBS, etc.) We are currently building a series of new C# windows GUI applications to do various things for eg to do risk analysis for structured products. This GUI will communicate asynchronously to a remote calculation grid to run bond calculations. This GUI will be used to display Real Time positions and overnight risk reports. A GUI to administer users, ledger, user groups, user permissions and entitlements etc. These GUIs are used by Securitized Products Front Office (Traders and risk managers). Main responsibilities are: Write C# code for a new GUI being developed in C#.Net. Thoroughly unit test/system test all code written. Ability to debug bugs/errors, find root cause and fix them. Work closely with the rest of the team and coordinate development, testing, deployment activities. Candidate MUST have the following: Expert in messaging Middleware like Tibco EMS, RV, SmartSocket, IBM MQ series. Must have experience coding asynchronous multi-threading windows applications. Proficient in windows GUI programming (event handling, windows events, error/exception handling etc.) Proficient in C# programming. Knowledge in .NET 3.x technologies like WPF, XAML etc. Expert in XML parsers, XRef, XPath etc. Knowledge in databases/SQL - either Sybase or Oracle. Strong hands-on developer with a track record of delivering quality software applications in financial vertical. Must have at least 3 years industry experience on Wall Street. Must be a team player, easy to work with and with positive attitude. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Must be able to convey technical ideas lucidly and understand technical concepts etc. Expert in version control tools, branching, merging etc. (CSV and/or Perforce) Preferred to have: Mortgage backed product knowledge. Fixed Income knowledge in general. Knowledge in third-party software like Infragistics, DevXpress controls etc.
