Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations. REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience with ION MarketView; Two year minimum core Java development experience, preferably within a Real Time environment; Basic knowledge of fixed income securities (including government and corporate bonds, interest swaps and asset swaps); Good understanding of the UNIX operating system; Experience SQL, UNIX C/C++ experience; Experience with messaging Middleware (TIBCO would be an advantage); Experience in developing software that complies with a third-party API; Experience dealing with ECNs; Experience with Straight-Through-Processing (STP) of electronic trading.
