Test Analyst - Fixed Income - IT Rates
Our international banking client is seeking a test analyst to work in their Fixed Income Technology department in New York City. You will be responsible for developing and supporting the front, middle, and back-office systems and applications for the entire firm.
Job Description:
In this role, you will work on full test life-cycle for prominent and multifaceted electronic trading application for the Fixed Income Emerging Markets desk.
- Create and maintain specification & requirements documents.
- Translate requirements into test scripts.
- Must have proven track record of successful test life-cycle experience.
- Ability to analyze and retain requirements from IT sales personnel, clients, and anyone involved with the implementation of the applications involved.
- Perform widespread analysis, fix errors, record, and validate solutions that supports client business process.
- Ability to coordinate knowledge transfer amongst Business Analysts and Developers.
- Manually test new Server & Client functionalities.
- Prepare status reports as necessary.
- Coordinate amongst business representatives during UAT stage and identify risks and dependencies or proposed releases.
- Continuous maintenance of applications is essential.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- Must have experience working alongside front-office trading systems.
- Understand front-to-back process flow and STP.
- STRONG knowledge of pricing and risk management in Treasuries (Bonds, Bills, Strips, IR Futures), Agencies (Discount Notes, Bullets and Callables U.S., Euro, Bermuda), IR Swaps, Inflation, Derivatives, Supras & Sovereigns, and Commercial Paper.
- Manual and automated testing techniques.
- Formidable analytical and document reviewing past experiences.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent business acumen.
- Quality Analyst background.
- HP Mercury Quality Center (Test Director), JIRA, Sharepoint or relatable central-test and defect-management softwares.
- Experience with Automation Tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members & organize projects.
- Have worked in SQL, UNIX, ClearQuest/JIRA or other Windows development environments.
- ITIL knowledge.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
