Systems Engineer

Basic Function: Provide Information Technology network consulting and technical Infrastructure support which consists of servicing connectivity and high-end systems products
Responsibilities
Provide quality service support and technical assistance of connectivity and high-end systems products to internal and external employees.
Perform Server Builds
Maintain Backup of Servers
Resolution of Server hardware failures
Perform Simple Account Management, I.E. Login Accounts, Password Resets
Perform Simple Data Migrations
Fully responsible for Network Administration and Restoration
Fully responsible for Network Design
Fully responsible for creation and testing of images
Fully responsible for designing DMZ for internet access into secure infrastructures
Fully responsible for DHCP, DNS, WINS support and configuration
Manage implementation and oversight of application roll-outs across the network
Fully responsible for Active Directory infrastructure and user administration
Fully responsible for mail administration, user account, domain groupings, and permission rights
Fully responsible for firewall installation and rule modification in conjunction with mgmt approval
Fully responsible for Infrastructure Network and Data security
Install and implement connectivity and high-end systems products
Responsible the configuration and support of internal systems
Assist in the demand creation of network and technical services
Perform Advanced Diagnostics on Network Equipment
Fully responsible for the review and implementation of network policies to ensure network integrity and stability.
Fully responsible for the development and maintenance of technical documentation around the support of network infrastructure
Lead/Manage Disaster Recovery processes and procedures
Provide technical consultation to our Management
Provide leadership, give technical advice, and coordinate activities of other service employees.
Positively influence employee satisfaction level with provided products and services through meeting Management expectations. Follow-up, and positive problem resolutions
Maintain technical competence by keeping abreast of technology and technological developments, practices, and procedures
Perform reporting as outlined by management as required
Provide network and Technical IT relates services
Perform other unrelated network IT duties and projects as assigned by management.
Education: Bachelors degree in computer science / Information Technology or equivalent experience
Experience
10+ years of industry related experience. Vendor certifications.
Server + Certification
MCSE (Microsoft certified systems engineer)
CCNP (Cisco Certified Network professional)
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)
Job Skills
Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving
Advanced knowledge of Windows 2003/2007 Server (Enterprise /Advanced Edition)
Exchange 2003/2005 Server
Strong background in Active Directory, this should include software applications and supported network products surrounding Active Directory.
Server Clustering
Data Migrations and Data Storage
Knowledge of SAN?s
Knowledge of backup systems
Strong background in Diagnostics
Strong interpersonal, oral, written communication and time management skills.
Able to build a network infrastructure from the ground floor up.
