One of SGA s premier financial services clients in NYC is looking for experienced data warehouse developers to join their team as contractors with a potential right to hire. The client is looking to expand the use of the Risk Data Warehouse currently used by their Energy business across other business lines in New York, Toronto and London. The IT team is split between New York, Houston and Toronto. This candidate can work in either NY or Houston.
Successful candidates will work with the Data Warehouse Architect to develop database, ETL, and integration components. They will be responsible for:
Creating and managing ETL functions
Designing optimal data models, entity relationship diagrams, staging and mapping layers of a bank wide Risk Data Warehouse implementation
Assisting in designing, developing and documenting data profiling tools, standardization, ETL routines and packages.
The successful candidate will have:
8+ years of experience in Enterprise Data warehouse technologies and implementations.
Very strong SQL, PL/SQL, Data and Dimensional Modeling experience.
Very strong Oracle experience. That is, good understanding of schema design, query construction, performance tuning and data profiling tools.
Experience in data repositories, metadata management, data services and star schemas.
Experience with Ant
Strong Java background
Need to stay current with data warehousing trends/technologies and make appropriate design and development changes
Additionally, the following would be preferable:
Enterprise Risk Data business knowledge
Experience with Oracle database tuning, monitoring and administration
Business Objects Experience
Fixed Income, Rate or FX business knowledge
