We are currently looking a professional that has 2-5 years of software testing experience. This individual must have experience supporting each aspect of the testing life cycle. This will be a long-term position within a company that does not currently possess a formal testing department, but is looking for a professional that can develop an internal testing infrastructure, as well as be responsible for directly executing all of the testing activities of a mid-sized development organization.
Specific responsibilities will include:
1) Work with little supervision in the development and implementation of intuitive test plans, test cases, test scripts and test scenarios.
2) Provide Software Test Engineering functionality across multiple business units.
3) Perform functional, regression, integration, system, unit, user-acceptance and GUI tests against both client/server and web based applications.
4) Creation of test defects, summaries and reports. Presenting this data to the management teams for making decisions on how to improve quality.
5) Where applicable improve the testing efficiency by introducing automated test tools.
Experience: * AAS/BA/BS degree in IT, prefer Computer Science background
* 1-2 years of software testing experience using an industry recognized automation tool such as WinRunner, Silk or SQA Robot.
* OOP experience w/C++, VB and/or Java is a huge plus
* Certifications are a plus
* Must possess an exceptional work ethic, excellent communication skills and a team centric mentality
