Creative design agency seeking experienced “hands-on” interactive Art Director with strong experience in designing and developing successful websites and marketing creative solutions

The ideal candidate should have "A List Apart" in its RSS news reader and know who Zeldman is. He/she should understand what accessibility and usability entails and should be familiar with the basic principles of information architecture and interactive design. This position will report to the Creative Director and will work hand-in-hand with Senior Management and Creative Services.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Hand coding (BBEdit, TextMate, etc...) of table-less Standards compliant full websites with separation of form and content through semantically meaningful HTML markup and advanced CSS techniques ("DreamWeaver only" designers need not to apply).
• JavaScript based client side scripting including implementation of script.aculo.us type libraries.
• Database driven website development (PHP/MySQL) including database architecture development.
• Creation of ActionScript powered Flash animations and websites.
• Must stay abreast of innovations in the field and continue to increase understanding of new and emerging tools and technology on the Internet
• Receive client feedback and responds appropriately, including revisions and re-presenting.
• Lead, guide and review concept development, strategic development, design solutions and graphic production through the life cycle of the project.
Experience: Required Skills and Background:
• Bachelors degree
• 3 to 5 years experience as a Designer or Art Director within an advertising agency or interactive agency.
• 1 to 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Experience with internet concepts and primary computer programs including advance knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, fluent in XHTML/CSS, XML a plus, Web Standards, Advanced JavaScript, AJAX a big plus, Advanced level PHP/MySQL, Advanced level Flash and ActionScript a huge plus Basic understanding of Apache server technology a plus.

• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to understand, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.
• Team player - high energy level, and willingness to do "whatever it takes".
• Commercial and residential real estate experience a big plus!
