Our client has an immediate need for a Systems Analyst. This growing company is looking for a Systems Analyst to provide the lead analyst/project leader support for client server applications and/or projects involving the Windows environment and/or Microsoft SQL database management system. As a Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for providing database administrator support and programming for those projects as needed. This position requires a heavy interface with user areas in determining and implementing their systems needs. Additional responsibilities include:
• Gathering requirements, design, develop, test/validate, and implement systems solutions including those involving Intranet and Internet technologies, in a manner consistent with FDA and ISO requirements.
• Evaluating and recommending software packages based on their ability to satisfy user requirements. Requires the ability to communicate with a software vendor’s sales and technical personnel. Assists with cost-benefit analyses.
• Implementing Microsoft SQL based software packages with interfaces to existing systems. Work includes design, programming, documenting, procedure authoring, conversion planning, training, and maintenance to production systems.
• Supervising a project team of programmer/analysts, vendors (onsite and offsite), contract programmers, and users.
• Developing reports, downloads of information to PC’s, and interfaces between existing systems using FDA-compliant programming and validation methodologies.
• Maintaining proficiency in the Microsoft SQL database management system including database administration, SQL programming, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Provide off-hours troubleshooting support and 24x7 availability for systems problems. This is especially true during month-end boundaries.
• Aiding users in troubleshooting problems with new or existing client/server systems and/or applications, including debugging vendor software when necessary.
• Stay current in developing trends in the areas of Client/Server computing as related to Microsoft SQL, Web authoring tools (ex: FrontPage), Data Warehousing, Visual Basic, JAVA, and C++ programming techniques.
• Interface with members of related technology support groups to stay current of leading development methods.
• Develop solutions to allow users to be self-sufficient of I.T. assistance.

Experience: To be considered for this role, the incumbent must possess the following:
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Two + years developing internet technologies and as a Microsoft SQL database administrator.
• Strong analytical, design, project management and technical skills are a must.
• The ability to work on multiple projects at one time is necessary, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• The ability to gain an understanding of complex issues in a variety of program areas quickly is a must.
