Terms: 3+ month CONTRACT - RIGHT to HIRE
Location: Long Island, NY

DESCRIPTION
1. Design, plan, analyze, deploy and support all aspects of the network infrastructure in accordance with corporate standards, policies and procedures.
2. Support, monitor, administer and maintain the LAN/WAN to ensure high availability, scalability, redundancy, performance, security and manageability.
3. Install, configure and maintain network routers, multi-layer switches and access points
4. Establish and maintain network guidelines and procedures for router and switch configuration, as well as, standards for network equipment and procedures for deployment.
5. Design, implement and support existing and new MPLS, IP, frame relay, DSL and wireless network infrastructures.
6. Configure, implement and support wireless LANs including WLAN controllers, access points and certificate servers.
7. Maintain and troubleshoot WAN optimization, proxy, content caching, load balancer and compression devices.
8. Perform design and implementation reviews to ensure performance, security and availability requirements are being met.
9. Interact with different lines of business to collect and document business requirements for infrastructure related projects. Analyze options, recommend design solutions and conduct comparative analysis.
10.Plan and design network infrastructure configuration specifications for new and existing sites.
11.Troubleshoot application and network performance issues.
12.Maintain access lists, NAT tables, carrier circuit numbers and router/switch configuration files
13. Proactively monitor and manage network health and performance using various monitoring/diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
14. Perform network maintenance and upgrades as required.
15.Provide 24 hr LAN/WAN coverage on scheduled nights and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
CCNA certification required - CCNP/CCDA/CCDP/CCSP certification or comparable experience preferred
Experience supporting network infrastructure running SAP application suite preferred
Understanding of SOX, PCI and PII impact on network infrastructure design and support
Min of 7 yrs exp. in supporting global LAN/WAN Cisco environment
Detailed knowledge and experience with TCP/IP, Router technology, and LAN/WAN performance tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting
Good interpersonal, oral communication and writing skills
