Full Time
Experience: • Ability to demonstrate a superior insight and skills adeptness on specialized network security technology and policy such as (but not limited to):
o Access Layer Security and related issues
o Distribution Layer Security policies and related issues
o Perimeter and DMZ security and related issues
o Intrusion Detection/Prevention (IDS/P)
o Secure VPN Tunneling
o Authentication, Encryption, and General Access (passwords, restrictions, etc…)
• Ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge of security policy, best practices, and platforms
• Demonstrate excellent abilities in the areas of performance diagnostic and analytical skills pertaining to security issues
• Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, project leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with a strong orientation towards customer service
• Experience with the following technologies:
o Security: Advanced knowledge of VPN and FW rules implementation and audit
o Network Security Engineering (Policies, Proxies, Authentication, etc)
o DNS infrastructure and administration
o Wireless: 802.11x wireless policy and security encryption (including, VPN Tunneling); Cisco Aironet Access Points; and wireless technology in general.
o Analysis tools: Network Associates Sniffer Technologies or like, Cisco MARS, Whats Up Pro, syslog
o Operating Systems: PIX/ASA 6.3, 7.2, Honeypot configuration, monitoring; Linux, Switched Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps LAN), Knowledge of Frame Relay, MPLS, ISDN, Point-to-Point. BGP, EIGRP, QoS
o Remote access and authentication: TACACS, Radius, RSA Tokens; design, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree or advanced training preferred
• 6+ years of professional networking experience that includes in-depth knowledge of WAN and LAN architecture and equipment, including various types of Cisco routers, L3 switches, and Pix Firewalls. Cisco IOS and Pix OS, access control lists, policy routing, NAT, HSRP, VLANs, and VPNs
• Experience with Polycom video conferencing systems
• Knowledge of the following protocols: EIGRP, BGP, MPLS
• Knowledge of VoIP and related issues
• Knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS) as pertaining to Firewalls
• Proven competence in administering and managing Linux servers in a corporate environment
• Practical and theoretical understanding of the OSI model and understand how an enterprise network functions within this model
• Specialized Cisco Certification: CCIE-Security, CISSP (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to simultaneously and successfully handle multiple, disparate projects while supporting end-users (in person and over the phone)
• Must be able to operate effectively and cooperatively within the IT department to enable the department to function cohesively and to provide excellent customer service across firm departments
