Job Title: Supply Chain Project Manager

Reports To: EVP, Supply Chain

Key Interactions: Merchandising, Production and Planning


Position Overview: The incumbent will drive short and long-term objectives of the Global Sourcing function, ensuring source of supply, time effectiveness, quality and cost reduction while maintaining the integrity of the brand. The ideal candidate will be process driven with the ability to document and evaluate current practices and identify logical opportunities to enhance current approach. This position requires knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and financial modeling to formulate and implement sourcing activities and policies.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans including Cost Sheet Update, Samples Rationalization, Global Raw Materials Strategy, Country / Supplier Rationalization, Supply Chain Segmentation, and Supplier Scorecard to prioritize, organize, and accomplish goals.

  • Analyze market and delivery systems in order to ensure present and future material availability.

  • Qualify vendors of materials, equipment and supplies in order to form strategic relationships that will ensure product availability and optimal terms of sales.

  • Develop and implement sourcing instructions, policies, and procedures.

  • Prepare reports regarding market conditions.

  • Direct cross-functional sourcing teams comprised of individuals from different functional areas such as Merchandising, Production, Planning, etc.

  • Plan and direct the activities of sourcing officers and related workers involved in sourcing materials, products, and services.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives tied to each objective.

  • Stay informed on current events as they affect international trade policy.


    Position Requirements:

  • 2 years progressive experience in the position or similar experience
  • MA in Business Administration, Operations/Supply Chain Management or similar
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team oriented
  • Able to influence and inspire confidence in senior management
  • Able to effectively interact with cross functional teams
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
