Genesis10 is currently searching for a Lead Release Manager/Engineer with very strong Unix for a long term consulting project in New York City.
You will be expected to:
- Schedule and coordinate releases to pre-production and production environments.
- Package various components from ClearCase into a release including preparing wrapper scripts for Database deployment
- Package various components from Informatica into a deployment group
- Define, document, coordinate, execute and validate the deployment process for multiple projects at the same time
- Write (script) automated builds and releases where applicable
- Document and update the Technical Publications section of software releases, which includes installation and configuration instructions for Production.
- Manage approval process to ensure that approvals are in place before deploying release to an environment
- Facilitate conference calls during production deployment windows
- Provide periodic after-hours or weekend support
- Lead release team and assign daily duties to ensure that build requests are worked on and deadlines are met.
Experience: Required Skills:
- Experience in Unix and Windows platforms
- Experience in ClearCase or comparable version control system
- Knowledge of Informatica
- Knowledge of Oracle
- Command of Unix shell scripting or Perl language
- Data warehousing knowledge
- Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and respond to multiple and conflicting requests under tight deadlines and in a very dynamic working environment.
- Some financial services, preferably banking experience is desirable.
