My client, a Financial Services organization located in downtown Manhattan, is in need of a Senior Network Engineer/Administration with at least 5 years of <B>HANDS ON <B>experience. The company's environment consists of several hundred servers dealing with CISCO Routers and Switches. The ideal candidate will take the lead technical role while relaying information within the department. Also, interfacing with internal/external parties and vendors will be required. The ideal candidate should posses a high level of analytical, communicational, and troubleshooting skills.<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: <br>
<br>
- Provide ongoing maintenance, configuration, design, and implementation of the network infrastructure. <BR>
- Excellent working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (2600 and 2900 to 6500 to 7600 platforms), PIX firewalls. <BR>
- Excellent understanding of <b> Windows NT/2000/2003</b> server administration<br>
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze LAN/WAN connectivity problems, including DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS. <br>
- Solid experience working with T1/E1, T3/E3, Frame Relay, SONET, ISDN BRI/PRI <BR>
- Understanding of Unix/Linux systems and VPN devices a plus <br>
- Disaster recovery planning and implementation experience.<br>
- Support Web Hosting environments. <br>
- Supporting technologies such as BigIP content switch, 3DNS GSLB from F5 Networks<br>
- Knowledge of VoIP systems; supporting, configuring and implementing a huge plus. <br>
- Create documentation of specific fixes, work done on infrastructure. Create reports on resolution of problems, requests. <BR>
- Certifications that are highly desired are CCNA, CCNP.
