Network Engineer - Immediate Need in NEW YORK, NY

My client, an large Insurance organization located in downtown Manhattan, is in need of a Network Administrator with at least 2 years of hands on experience. The company's environment consists of Cisco Routers and Switches. The ideal candidate will take the lead technical role while relaying information within the department. Also, interfacing with internal/external parties and vendors will be required. The ideal candidate should posses a high level of analytical, communicational, and troubleshooting skills.

Experience: - Provide maintenance, configuration, design, and implementation of the network infrastructure. <BR>
- Working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches <BR>
- Excellent understanding of <b> Windows 2000 and 2003</b> server environment<br>
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze LAN/WAN connectivity problems, including DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS. <br>
- Understanding VPN support and configurations a plus <br>
- Knowledge of VoIP systems a huge plus. <br>
- Work with senior level Network Engineers to diagnose technical issues and solve quickly<br>
- Create documentation of specific fixes, work done on infrastructure. Create reports on resolution of problems, requests. <BR>
- Certifications that are highly desired are CCNA, MCP, MCSE.
