CAD Supervisor in our New York office.
As a CAD Supervisor your major activities will be: Supervision and work distribution between 3 CAD Designers in addition to drafting redlines providing design assistance and managing CAD coordination on projects. Assisting designers and engineers in calculations by creating floor-plans, one-line diagrams and panel schedule drawings in AutoCAD from redlined drawings Creating schematics and equipment schedules
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Proficiency in converting architectural backgrounds into backgrounds
Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD
Proficiency in the latest National CAD standards
Able to read floor plans, sections and elevations
Able to draw sections with no direction
Experience in electronic file transfer
Available to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with one of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades
Relevant Experience:
5+ years relevant experience with current version of AutoCAD; work experience in the Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical fields
CAD Proficiency: Completion of advanced computer and CAD courses beyond trade school or equivalent formal training
