Basic Function:As part of M&Ts Technology Infrastructure, the Telecommunications Analyst would be working with a team to implement and support telecommunications technologies. This person will also be responsible for making recommendations and implementing more efficient approaches to telecommunications.Responsibilities:Install and configure network solutions to support our external Business Partners (IP and SNA)Perform network connectivity technical problem diagnosis and resolutionProvide network support for the Contingency and Disaster Recovery environmentsMaintain and support the hardware and software components that make up the mainframe-networking environmentInstall and maintain MVS communications program products including TPX, Netview and Connect Direct.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in a technology field or 5+ years of telecommunications experienceSolid understanding of local area networking hardware and protocolsSolid understanding of TCP/IP and IP network routingStrong understanding of Mainframe communications environmentsMVS Job Control LanguageExperience with software installation on IBM MVS mainframe systemsAbility to perform MVS Systems Programming tasks with minimal supervisionIdeal Qualifications:CISCO router configuration expertiseComm protocols expertise should include SNA and TCP/IPProgramming expertiseVISIONetwork Operations experienceLAN/WAN Network AdministrationSMP/E Experience
