Major financial entity is seeking an experienced Solaris Systems Administrator/Engineer to join the Technology Team at their downtown Manhattan headquarters. In this position, you will be part of a team of Unix Engineers and Administrators responsible for all aspects of infrastructure design, implementation and operations of mission-critical systems in a major financial institution. This ever-challenging work includes creating custom technical and operational solutions for the Sun Solaris environment as well as high-lever storage engineering, involving technologies such as Sun Solaris 10, Solaris zones, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster, Veritas Netbackup, MQ and Opsware SAS/PAS. To be successful in this role, you must possess at least 5 years of relevant, steady experience in Sun Solaris engineering, including Solaris 10, solid experience with the Veritas Foundation Suite of products, Veritas Cluster and Netbackup and a strong SAN background in a large, professional, corporate environment.
