Leading communications firm seeks Senior Business Analyst to $100K + bonus. Position Summary / Primary Duty: This position will be responsible for the delivery of monthly metrics in a variety of areas with an emphasis on Sales and Operations for the company’s 3 operating divisions. He/She will be given latitude to create and implement new metrics that can help drive business decisions. He/She will work as part of the Business Operations team to deliver actionable reports to senior management.
Functional Responsibility:
1. Analytics
a. Prepare monthly report and analysis including:
• Position counts by region, system, size and contract type
• Lapsed maintenance contract analysis
• End of life product analysis
• Labor utilization analysis
• Review System data for accuracy
b. Consolidate weekly, monthly, quarterly reports:
• Business metrics
• Operational metrics
• Provide commentary and analysis of significant trends in divisional, regional and consolidated data.
c. Design reports to capture statistics on current installed base to:
• Identify sales opportunities.
• Validate going-forward customer behaviors
• Model maintenance revenue and related costs
d. Maintain an accurate report library.
2. Dashboard Development
a. Work with IT department to create Sales and Operations metrics dashboard
b. Partner with Sales, Operations and Finance to determine meaningful metrics for:
• Executive level review (CEO, CFO)
• Business level review (SVP/VP of Operations, regional finance directors/controllers)
• Operating manager review (Branch Managers)
3. Other
a. Assist in creating, researching and delivering additional Sales and Operations metrics
b. Work with other team members to deliver ad-hoc reports as needed
Skills and Knowledge Required:
1. 5+ years of in-depth analysis experience with Operational or Financial metrics
2. Desire to understand the inner workings of the organization and dependencies across functional areas.
3. Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
4. Experience with Oracle a plus
5. Ability to deliver insightful and meaningful metrics with limited guidance
6. Ability to communicate at all management levels
Minimum Education Required:
1. College degree (4 year)
2. MBA or advanced degree preferred
