Consultant services are required to augment Staff to enhance enterprise applications beyond their initially designed functionality. Several new and additional requirements (see below) have surfaced since the initial implementation of these applications. These applications now need to be enhanced to accommodate these new requirements. Some of these requirements are an outgrowth of the normal system evolution process, i.e., natural extensions of the initial system capabilities.
Implementation of these new and additional requirements will:
. Expand the internal controls of the applications to conform to the new Information Security Policy. The creation of these added controls will reduce the risk of security exposure and reduce the opportunity for misuse and loss of information by unauthorized persons.
. Include necessary software and operating adjustments to maintain acceptable performance standards and operating efficiencies, as data load and user growth of these applications continues to increase. This effort will include making such adjustments as creating and implementing data views that protect the confidentiality of the data, creating and implementing additional monitoring mechanisms and adding extra database controls.
. Incorporate new and additional system edits to increase the security controls of application accesses and unauthorized data manipulation.
. Increase capabilities of systems to share data amongst and between other applications and/or agencies.
Experience: Mandatory Skills
Four years hands-on Oracle programming experience developing screens (Oracle Forms 4.5 or higher) using Oracle Developer 2000 for implementation in a character-based environment.
Four years hands-on Oracle programming experience developing reports (Oracle Reports 2.5 or higher) using Oracle Developer 2000 for implementation in a character-based environment.
Four years experience creating and/or modifying relational database structures for Oracle DBMS version 8.0 or higher
Four years experience upgrading Oracle Forms applications from character-based systems to browser-based (Forms 6i or higher) systems
DESIRABLE Experience
Working on a project team and implementing large, complex projects in an Oracle environment, including (but not limited to): developing of database model, application programming, developing test plans and conducting testing, developing user documentation and delivering user training.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including experience with developing both technical and user documentation and experience with presentations/training.
Experience designing, coding, and testing Oracle applications using Digital/HP Alpha servers.
Programming experience using PL/SQL.
Programming experience using DCL for Digital/HP Alpha servers.
