„X Manage and develop application support and business realization for various banking departments such as Internal Audit, Tax/Legal and Senior Advisor, this includes meeting with various departments, interfacing with the application vendors and/or consultants wherever needed, analyzing requests and coordinating projects through to completion. This also includes various method of ETL strategies preferably GENIO and working with the associated support functions when necessary.

„X Coordination includes participating in business project realization in collaboration with all local teams (Infrastructure support group, Business Support Services, Quality Assurance, ISO and Compliance), global business and IT teams (Paris and Brussels), when necessary, and client departments. Coordination also entails training of clients, documentation of systems/business processes using established department methodologies, and participating and coordinating in planning and execution of user acceptance testing.

„X Business process engineering: map, optimize and formalize the operational model with a view to limit risks and enhance the effectiveness of business.
„X Analyze the larger framework of the development and reporting needs to current systems including the presentation layer either in WINFORM or ASP development, and assisting the implementation and automate requests (e.g., reports, processes and/or web services, ASP site) by coordinating with internal resources to ensure they can be realized within IT. (e.g., datawarehouse, new datawarehouse.

Typical projects in which the Business Analyst will be involved for the short term is the assistance of the implementation of the iTAP project, specifically with GENIO and/or ETL concepts.
Experience: Job Knowledge (# years of experience): At least 4 years of experience in a control conscience banking or financial institution environment. A background in financial services, various banking products, economic reporting. Strong knowledge of various banking system, economic and control reporting, knowledge of Murex, Midas is a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills are necessary.


Management Skills: The function does not include direct management responsibilities. However, project management skills are very important. Ability to manage projects independently while keeping management informed of progress and the ability to assume responsibility for projects through to completion.

Other Skills, e.g.:

• Computer: In addition to the regular MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word), exposure to banking systems, in particular, various systems. The person should also have a view on relational database concepts, Crystal Reports; have a good knowledge of Transact SQL, including Store Procedures, triggers, views and DTS packages and the ability to apply Transact SQL in different database environments (Sybase, Oracle and SQL Server). The person should have knowledge of the systems development life cycle.

• Interpersonal: The function requires excellent interpersonal skills (with a client focus) and involves accommodating clients locally and from different entities that do not necessarily have the same objectives. Constant communication with IT management is also necessary.

• Decision-making: The person has to be able to make quick independent decisions while consulting with all parties in the projects. The person needs to possess the necessary maturity to defend decisions taken in consensus against related parties within the priorities of time constraints and project realization and must solicit management input, wherever necessary.

• Flexibility: The person needs to be able to adapt swiftly to a changing environment and to possess the skill to handle multiple projects and changing priorities in different environments at the same time. The person should be a self starter.

• Stress: In view of project requirements, the person needs to be able to function properly under stressful situations, always maintaining a professional relationship with the client and his/her management. This person must multi-task.

 Working conditions/Environment: The Business Analyst will report to and work in close cooperation with the VP Business Process Management, and all client and IT groups.
