One of our prominent and top clients is looking to hire a Network Capacity Planner to organize, plan and participate in all activities relating to capacity and performance planning of voice and data networks, to aid in the design of new networks or system upgrades and to ensure continuous, efficient functioning of existing networks. This is a long-term contract position for the right person who is ambitious and a self-starter. Candidates should have a strong background in IT project management, as well as designing, testing and implementing network solutions. Responsibilities include planning network and related system capacity based on service level objectives, provide capacity planning support for new product development by running various workload conditions to strengthen design efforts, serve as liaison between vendors and other technical experts on network capacity planning. Must be proactive, have strong team building skills, and be able to work independently. The ideal candidate should have at least five years experience in capacity and performance planning as well as the following computer skills: Network Management, performance monitoring, understanding of ATM, Frame Relay, MPLS, Ethernet, VOIP.
