This position is on the Netpak development team. Netpak provides clients with an integrated system to manage print campaign information for media reporting, commercial trafficking and client accounting purposes. The system handles campaigns for magazines, newspapers, trade periodicals, supplements, out-of-home and interactive.

Primary Objective
The successful candidate is a product-centric technical writer and an integral team member, actively involved in product design and development, with primary responsibility for all product-related documentation.

Major Responsibilities
Active role in all stages of the development life-cycle (including design, development, testing, documentation and rollout) in which the candidate will:
• Participate in design meetings and document the proceedings
• Capture and organize business requirements and design specifications which drive the development process
• Develop, deliver and maintain documentation for online delivery. Documentation ranges from management overviews to detailed procedures, reference information and online help for hands-on users.
• Manage product pages on our Web site plus other product development tasks. Manage documentation process for the team, including all project documents, for concurrent projects
Experience: Looking for Strong knowledge of Frame Maker
• Proven ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize
• Strong technical writing and editing skills, with demonstrated ability to absorb business information quickly from a variety of sources and write clearly for a specialized industry audience (advertising experience helpful but not required)
• Motivation and ability to master end-user industry concepts, business practices and workflows to which the product relates.
• Minimum 2-4 years experience in technical communication/information design. UI design experience a plus.
• Knowledge of technical writing principles, practices and tools
• Has produced documentation in Framemaker; knowledge of Visio a plus
• Hands-on computer skills, with ability to research system functions and confirm operation through hands-on exploration of a system
• Understanding of business data processing concepts and applications
• Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a quick-learner, self-starter, and a team player
