Our client develops internet and online solutions for the interactive needs of their clients, which are the top ad agencies in the world.
Our client is seeking a highly experienced IT/Software Project Manager to manage the scheduling and production of all client work and manage a small team of designers and developers.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering client projects on time and to budget. Projects span from minor edits and features through to complex web applications, ecommerce and content managed websites. You should be an organized individual, able to get the best out of the team.
The ideal candidate is capable of handling multiple projects at any one time. There will be a vast amount of interaction with customers, third parties, management and developers, therefore excellent communication skills are necessary.
This is a pivotal role within a growing team. The candidate should have commitment and passion for the internet. Any project management qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential, what is needed is someone to embrace this role and to help the client grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage planning and delivery of web projects including:
· Lead and manage a team of designers, developers and contractors.
· Scheduling of resources.
· Budget management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
· Facilitate communication within the team.
· Specifying and writing technical and non-technical documentation.
Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
· Knowledge of Web technologies like PHP, .Net, Java, Flash, HTML, CSS, etc.
· Internet software development (the technologies you've used doesn't matter)
· Be up to speed with current web development.
· Be highly organized and be able to organize others.
Desirable functional / technical skills:
· Able to understand web source code.
· Comfortable in both PC and LINUX/UNIX environments.
· Database design.
· Knowledge of open source technologies including MVC frameworks, PHP5 and MySQL.
