Experience: 5 years experience developing wireless, communications systems. Knowledge of of 1, 2 and/or 3 that follows....
1) Communications systems and networking concepts and protocols, such as IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, and IPsec.
2) RF and digital radio hardware, including antennas, tuners, analog and digital filters, A/D, D/A, and frequency converters, combiners, multiplexers, modems, amplifiers, Digital Signal Processors, CODEC, INFOSEC and Network Interface Units.
3) Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology. Familiarity with Inter-Processor Communication (IPC), including CORBA, RPC, SOAP protocols, and PCI/PCI Express, RapidIO, and Ethernet hardware.
Pluses: Wideband, virtual circuit and packet-switched digital communications. Intelligent, self-diagnosing, self-healing and adapting ad-hoc networks. Computer and network reliability. Computer and network security. Low probability of intercept and anti-jam technologies. Network simulation tools and systems. Leadership of cross-functional teams evaluating alternative architectures and designs, analyzing cost and performance tradeoffs, and resolving technical issues.
