Basic Function:
Responsible for providing the strategic direction and management of the Lending Services Portfolio and Analytics Group. This position will typically will manage the most complex, critical and highly visible projects/analytics at both the Lending Services and/or bank-wide level.
Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for supporting the Lending Services Division in a variety of functions to include, but not limited to, the following:
- Provides strategic direction related to operational analytics and reporting across all Lending Services business units (COE's).
- Manages development and production of departmental reports and spreadsheets to include, but not limited to, project or product strategy analysis, profitability, historical trend reporting, work flow analysis, statistical analysis, and financial analysis.
- Manages research and gathering of business, process, and/or financial information for Lending Services. Performs guidance on ad-hoc analyses (i.e., capacity modeling, cost per unit reporting, forecasting, transfer pricing, etc.) to support business decisions. Provides feedback to management regarding results.
- Researches and gathers operational and financial information regarding business results.
- Performs complex analysis to drive business decisions and provides recommendations to management regarding results.
- Develops a solid understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations. - Keeps abreast of business and market trends that may affect the business department.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of new projects, products, programs, and plans to achieve short and long term business objectives; assists in the coordination of the design and execution of various projects for the promotion and maintenance of the business.
- Provides coaching, mentoring, and feedback to direct reports (analysts).
- Performs other related assignments/ projects as requested by Senior Management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in an applicable field (i.e., Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or MIS)
- Minimum 10 years in a relevant field
- Proficient in the use of Access and Excel, as well as other database, graphing and presentation software
- Strong analytical ability and creative problem solving skills
- Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including Senior Management
- Superior written and verbal communication skills'
- Proven project management experience

- Previous experience in a banking or financial institution environment
