Basic Function:
As part of M&T's Central Technology/Business Services Division the Project Manager  would be responsible for the management of all activities related to the successful planning documenting, testing and implementation of all work performed by the team. Provides detailed direction and performs specialized analysis and research of systems modifications to solve any scope problem or enhancement.
Responsibilities:
Participates in the gathering and analysis of information for defining functional requirements, function designs, development and implementation of the final project.
Performs routine to complex analysis and research in support of business goals and strategies.
Assigns resources and monitors progress of al assignments; ensures completion of schedules.
Responsible for short and long term FTE planning
Translates requirements to assist staff in preparing detailed specifications for system enhancements.
Recommends designs based on business requirements, identifies issues and concerns.
Ability to act as a client liaison to review priorities and manage the overall client queue. Builds rapport within organization and effectively communicates and develops a professional level of cooperation across the organization.
Develops or oversees the development of project assessments and plans to include activities to be performed, estimated timeframes and effort.
Develops or oversees the development of test plans and scripts; performs client testing for routine to complex processes to ensure proper system functioning.
Maintains a thorough understanding of the business being supported and its functions, processes, operations and strategic direction. Maintains a detailed functional understanding of the supported application.
Responsible for managing all aspects of the teams responsibilities, which could include problem resolution, systems development and day to day activities.
Understands the strategic plans of the client and makes recommendations to assist in meeting their goals.
Interacts on regular basis with IT staff and the client as well as vendors.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of two to four years college with at least six years experience in a technology/systems analysis or operational support environment.
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Demonstrated Project Management Experience
3+ years supervisory experience
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred
Excellent PC skills utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Very good understanding of the Bank's application framework
PMI or Six Sigma certifications preferred
